As you know, when we lived in Berlin, Brad had to travel a LOT for his job.  He would be home in Berlin for six weeks, then off at some foreign office for three weeks, then home again for six weeks...etc.

Basically, this meant that 

1) he dragged me off to Germany, then dumped me there with the kids while he had to go work nearly everywhere else in the world (yep, still bitter),

and 2) he racked up a TON of points on his credit card, since whenever he was gone for three weeks, he charged it to his card and then Daimler would reimburse him.

Today, we received our consolation prize for all that time apart.  Brad cashed in his points for Amazon.com gift cards, which he then used to purchase this ginormous 65 inch TV for our empty media room.

Clearly, Adam and Pepper are in heaven.  Already, this TV has seen a lot of Xbox play.  Brad has got it all hooked up to the speakers, so once we have a place to sit, this will be a prime movie-/DWTS-/Downton Abbey-watching venue.

PS - I'm not really all that bitter.  I would follow this man anywhere.
