Today we wandered around Edinburgh, basking in First Day of Vacation Glee.

Outlander fans, you know why this excited me.

We happened upon this old church and cemetery and took way more pictures than the occasion warranted.  Oh well.
Swinging around the lamppost--a Girls' Trip tradition.

We saw these Dr. Seuss trees all over.  So cute!

After a round-about walk through town, we found Edinburgh Castle.

Inside the prison of Edinburgh Castle.

From the castle, we sauntered down the Royal Mile and did a rather creepy tour of The Real Mary King's Close.

In true Girls' Trip style, we dinnered at the local Hard Rock Cafe, where we enjoyed free refills, much laughter, and a few tears. We all passed on the haggis burger, despite a most enthusiastic recommendation from our server, Gordy.

It was a perfect day.

Don't you wish you could know the story behind everything you saw at the chapel/cemetery? I especially liked the cemetery for soldiers' dogs.
