Tonight we went up to Bitners' to celebrate Luke and Hannah's birthdays. They both turned 5 this last week, so we had a party of epic proportions.
After a yummy lasagna dinner, Becky broke out a transformer pinata for the kids.
Part of the Birthday Boy Glory is that you can be the first in line to hit the pinata.
Because she is 5 days older, Hannah had to be second.
Lauren got a turn, but she's too little for a blindfold.
Livvy got the first productive whack, so all the kids rushed for the few pieces of candy.
Now, all the bigger kids got a turn. Adam got pretty feisty.
Ellie really gave it her all!
Poor Taevyn had a hard time, because his dad kept yanking the pinata up higher.
Same with Isaac - Zach kept these boys humble.
Pepper managed to knock a leg off. . .
. . .and Brigham decapitated the poor pinata.
Jess didn't believe us when we yelled at her to swing right, so she kept swinging in the wrong direction.
By now the transformer man was pretty mangled, but Lukie wanted another go at him.
Uncle Cameron nearly finished him off. . .
. . .then Aunt Becky stepped in to bat clean-up.
Candy galore!!
Becky divvies up the candy.
All the kids were very serious about eating as much candy as they could in the shortest time possible.
Uncle Cameron was there to handle the tricky wrapper situations.
Have you ever seen three happier little boys?
After all the pinata fun, we came inside for birthday cake. No shortage of sugar tonight!
Once we were all full of cake, it was time for FIREWORKS!
Zach is "delighted" to pull double duty with Sam and Jack.
It was such a fun night!
My in-laws really know how to party!
